Down detergent
Down has excellent insulating performance has been used for thermal
insulation in jackets since 1936. We created the mild Down Wash Eco to
preserve the water-repellent and breathable properties of down that
would be compromised by normal detergents.

What makes our down detergent
The
formulation of the detergent is chosen so that the down is not
degreased. This keeps the fine down filaments soft, supple and puffable.
Even after many washes and several years, you can still rely on a cozy
jacket with optimal insulating properties.
Our down detergent
does not contain microplastics, silicone or kerosene. When choosing our
raw materials, we deliberately decided against cheaper palm oil and
instead use coconut oil for our surfactants.
Down Wash Eco, like all our detergents,
washes out without leaving any residue - without harming the
environment, because it is biodegradable in accordance with EC
regulations. We also pay attention to sustainability when it comes to packaging. Our German-made bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic and can be reused many times.
Down washing and drying
Down
products such as jackets, sleeping bags or pillows can be washed in the
washing machine without any problems. You will find more details and
setting recommendations with the product. Almost more important than the
washing itself is the drying afterwards. We recommend using a dryer. So
that the down does not clump and is loosened up, to the wash
additionally 2-3 tennis balls are given with in the drum. After the
cycle, the good piece should be checked for residual moisture and the
process repeated if necessary. In our experience, a down jacket must be
put in the dryer two times in a row.
