Rubber boot care product
Available
So
that your rubber boots can accompany you on many tours, they need a
little extra care. Fortunately, this can be done without much effort -
and with us you get everything you need from a single source.
Removing coarse dirt with a brush
You should always remove coarse dirt as soon as you notice it. With the right shoe brush,
this can be done in no time at all. We recommend the dirt brush with
bristles made of coconut fibers. These are soft enough not to damage
your shoes, but hard enough to clean them. With the pointed edge, you
can also easily get dirt out of the sole.
In addition, you can clean the material with lukewarm water and a little soap.
Apply care for rubber boots
Once the rough dirt is off, it's time for rubber boot care. For this you can find Rubber Care Matt.
It removes the white-grey stains (efflorescence) that often appear on
natural rubber. However, you can use it for rubber equipment with and
without rubber content as well as for latex. The product keeps the
material soft and supple and also gives it a matte finish.
The
application is uncomplicated: Simply apply the emulsion to the shoe and
rub it in with a cloth. Allow to soak in briefly and wipe off - done.
By the way, you can also use the product for boat skins and similar rubber products.
Removing unpleasant odors
Rubber boots are usually not breathable. The result is sweaty feet and unpleasant odors. With Shoe Fresh Eco, you can gently remove these. The shoe deodorizer removes them by converting them into neutral salts. A pleasant scent remains and your feet can feel good again.
Effective cleaning with maximum environmental protection
Rubber
boots or boats made of PVC contain plasticizers (phthalates) that
volatilize over the years. These eventually end up as a harmful product
in the environment. Without this additive, the material also becomes
brittle and cracked sooner or later. There's not much you can do about
that, even with care products.
What you can do is to use natural
rubber, which usually does not contain harmful confectioners. Of course,
you don't have to dispose of your existing PVC shoes right away. You
can, however, make sure that the care product you use is environmentally
friendly.
This is the case with all our shoe care products (including shoe polish and leather shoe care).
We care about our nature and we also take social and ecological
responsibility. This is reflected in the choice of raw materials, in an
appropriate packaging concept and sustainability along the manufacturing chain.
For example, our rubber boot care is bluesign®-approved and our shoe brushes are made from sustainable local forestry.
