Why is our wool detergent special
The product
Wool Wash Eco protects the delicate fibers of modern merino wool garments so they last a long time. It contains an additive of cedar oil against moth damage while your garment is waiting in the closet for the next use. It is free of microplastics, enzymes and lanolin and is non-greasy. The washing active ingredients are based on coconut oil and not palm oil.
Washing wool correctly
Wool can become roughened and matted if washed incorrectly or with the wrong (full) detergent, shrink at the wrong temperature or lose its shape. Therefore, wool, merino, alpaca or mohair wool should be treated gently and the wool program should be selected on the washing machine. The temperature should not exceed 30 degrees and the subsequent drying should take place lying down, so that the laundry does not warp. The manufacturer's instructions can also be found on the sewn-in labels. If you can adjust the speed of your washing machine, wool should not be spun at more than 800 revolutions per minute.
Sustainability
Like all our detergents, Wool Wash Eco is residue-free - without harming the environment, because it is biodegradable in accordance with EC regulations. We also pay attention to sustainability when it comes to packaging. Our bottles, manufactured in Germany, are made of 100% recycled plastic and can be reused many times. Fibertec is a Bluesign® system partner and is committed to meeting their strict environmental requirements, production guidelines and product ingredients.
